Finally in Florence!

Today I arrived in Florence, Italy! I took a taxi to my host family's home and met my host father, Paolo. He is very kind and funny. The family does not speak English very well and I do not yet speak Italian, but there are 7 other students from America living in this home who can help me practice. One of the other girls from America in my home speaks Italian fluently, which will be helpful when I can't understand my host family. I am so glad that there are other students living in this house as well.
I am very tired from my plane ride and cannot wait to eat my first Italian meal with the family! In Italy people typically eat dinner later than they do in America, so we wont be eating until about 8pm every night.
